Numb To This

The audacity of this President has become routine.

Three simple words included in a “routine” speech, set to make the public think this sort of tragedy seemingly happens all time. This is just another tragedy to be exploited, another “crisis” that they will attempt to use to push their gun control agenda. There are other underlying stories here that are more important than whatever shtick the President is going through.

There is, however, a “crisis” here that we shouldn’t let “go to waste”. That is the targeting and killing of Christians, whether it be by crazed gunmen or ISIS. This is not an American issue, this is a world issue that needs to be addressed, confronted and stopped. First they came…

It has come out that the killer in Oregon intentionally asked victims what their religion was. Those that answered that they were Christian were summarily executed by being being shot in the head. The killer even joked, saying they would “see God in just about one second.”

We are a people who are constantly under barrage from many varying fronts. Whether it be the loss of freedoms, assaults on our morals or persecution and execution by those of other faiths, Christians are currently under attack all around the world.

What happened in Oregon is unfortunate, thankfully there was a hero, Chris Mintz, nearby who went in and put his life on the line to attempt to save people. Unfortunately until our political “elite” get serious about tackling mental health issues in America and disband “gun-free” zones there is nothing to stop lunatics from going onto these “safe haven” campuses with body armor, 3 pistols, a rifle and 5 magazines of ammo.

The warning bell has now been rung in America, the battle for our lives is at our door. Will we answer with vigilance, or will we stay silent because it was “just in Oregon”?
